Everybody wants to know the straight dope
Well here goes; you know that ball of mud and dirt?
Humans are an imbalance, we're a toxin on the Earth.
Cave men, ice ages, good times, industrialized
realize hunter gather
agriculture revolution
evolution in advanced techniques
a streak to break
or make an impact on our world
sometimes for the better
but most times
we're a cancer in the system
a victim
of'our'own success…
visible to the naked eye, the tell-tale signs of
a subatomic particle with a charge of negative electricity
a form of energy resulting in the existense of charged particles.
The motion of matter and magnetism expressed in Maxwell's equations
sets the stage, scene informed by an overwhelming sense of urgency
a climate emergency, everybody hug a tree.
Indeed, what we need is an all-of-humanity approach
a skosh of humility, and pantloads of clean energy
agree to disagree, and we might just stand a chance
And then, when it all seems like it just couldn't possibly get any worse,
it does, and we're forced to course-correct,
eject, reflect, look at all the defects,
a plan to implement
the one where we all have to work together.
There's never been a better opportunity
for the peoples of the planet
to demand better of ourselves
and of governments
of diplomats and laundromats.
Sickened hypochondriacs.
