Damages is about just that… Damage. Did you know that trauma doesn't need a villain? Sometimes traumatic things happen because there's a disconnect between what someone needs, and what someone else can actually provide. Those disconnects can happen when you have neurodivergent children in neurotypical home environments. I'm not broken… I'm incredibly structured. That structure requires a few things to be true that aren't native to neurotypical environments. My home couldn't hold me the way I needed it to, due to a mixture of outside influences and the generally tough readability of a kid who was different on so many levels. There is no villain here… Just damages.
