About this track
Intended to tell a vivid dystopian story set in the year 2040 in San Francisco, this piece starts off by introducing the reversed acoustic guitar sounds with the movement of the bandpass filters, to convey an introduction of a fragmented metropolis, where the large corporations are effectively banking in the demise of humanity.
The middle section is where the build-up takes place, the heavy alteration of filters, reverberation, and modulation to create the effect of a post-apocalyptic place. The distorted voices in the background represent people who are left stranded in this insane world are trying desperately to navigate it.
The end of the piece uses the plucked instrument rhythm sample and the boom sounds suggesting a chaotic environment, the last one which plays directly after the plucked rhythm has ended. This forms a cliff-hanger of some type, as to who will live to tell their story, and who will become the next casualty.
