About this release
As someone who has autism, and was diagnosed with it at the age of 3, albeit high functioning at that, I feel that autism awareness is extremely important. I for one do not see it as a disability or a hindrance by any means. If anything, it makes me all the more dedicated to my craft, and it makes me more focused on achieveing my goals. I haven't had one moment I can think of from the top of my head when I haven't been able to turn my autism into something positive.
While someone may identify as autistic, they are still able to notice and understand what's happening around them, and are not completely unaware of social cues, or other people's emotions, despite the potential challenges ASD can impose, hence the title of this EP.
Autism manifests differently in every individual, with levels of social awareness and communication skills varying depending on where one is in the spectrum. Some might try to appear more nuerotypical, which can lead to others to believe they are more socially aware than they actually feel. Finally, autistic people often have heightened focus on specific details, resulting in a deeper understanding of certain situations / information, even if they may struggle with social cues.
