Bio:

Jonathan Hadley is a musician and producer whose work explores atmosphere, texture, and emotionally direct songwriting. He is the founder of Abrasive Monologues, an independent artist collective and label, and releases music both under his own name and through collaborative projects within the roster.

Jon Hadley writes music like memories… out of order, half-lit, and sharper than it should be. As the founder of Abrasive Monologues, he builds sonic and narrative spaces where friction is never a flaw… it’s the point. His work moves between music, philosophy, and narrative realism, often circling themes of cost, love, and structural truth. When he’s not writing, he’s architecting systems that let other artists do the same… louder, cleaner, and with more control than the industry ever wanted to give them.

About this track

When I was born, my first gift from anyone was a grave from my grandmother. To her generation, the end was just as important as the beginning. That spot has always been mine… No matter what. That thought gives me what I need to keep digging and driving forward. The beginning is already over, the end is already 5X5, all I have to do is carve a life out of the middle. So if you find me in a low spot, it's probably because I carved out everything around me… and still didn't get anywhere.

Lyrics

Laying on my grave to count whats left
I only do it to protect myself
No scars on my wrist I'm finally having a good time
This time

I have this fear I'm not enough
And I'm almost sure I always will
No scars on my wrist I'm finally having
A good time
This time

If you find me low
It's cause I just keep digging in
I punch these walls
And one day I'm gonna win
But if you find me low
It's cause I just keep digging in

The world thought it could
Break me like glass in it's hand
But the harder you squeeze I'm abrading
Your skin
If you find me low
It's cause I just keep diggin in

Laying on my grave to count what's left
I only do it cause I hate myself
The plaster dries on the walls
And the days pass me by

I have this fear that I'm not enough
And it scares me to death
When I think too much
The plaster dries on the walls
And the days pass me by

If you find me low
It's cause I just keep digging in
And I failed again

If you find me low
It's cause I'm never gonna win
And I'm owning it

If you find me low

If you find me low

If you find me low
