Have you ever used a cassette drive on a computer? They are painfully slow, and depending on the system you could probably have a fairly sizeable breakfast before anything actually populates on the screen. Of course… these are problems from a time long gone, but hear me out; Sometimes, the software / game developer would do a tiny service to the user and play a song during the loading phase.
